Division Posters

The Call for Proposals closed January 10, 2024 at 5PM ET.

APA Divisions encourage poster submissions on a variety of topics to share the newest research findings, educational and practice approaches, novel ideas, innovations, and advances in the profession. Poster sessions also allow presenters and attendees to engage in extended discussions regarding the author’s presentation.

Division Posters

Division poster proposals closed on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

APA 2024 posters may be presented in person or virtually, for Divisions who opt for a virtual option.

In Person

In the poster hall, 4’ (122cm) high and 6’ (183 cm) wide boards mounted on stands will be provided. Participants are expected to place their materials on their assigned poster board during the ten minutes immediately preceding the hour when their poster session is scheduled. All poster sessions end promptly at 50 minutes after the hour in order to provide time for individuals in the next poster session to set up their posters.

In-person presenters will also be able to participate in the virtual poster hall.

NOTE: All in-person presenters and program participants—members, nonmembers, and students—are required to register for APA 2024 and pay the appropriate registration fees. In-person poster presenters are not exempt from this requirement and security guards will be checking badges at entrances..

Virtual

Virtual poster presenters must upload a PDF version of their poster and an optional short explanatory video to the APA 2024 platform. Log in details and instructions will be provided via email in early July. Virtual-only poster presenters are not required to register for APA 2024 to upload their materials but are required to register for the virtual event if they want to participate as an attendee.

GRAND RESEARCH COMPETITION

APA divisions will select two top poster submissions: one poster with a first author who is an APAGS member/APA student affiliate and one with a first author who is an APA member. These posters will be showcased during APA 2024  in Seattle, WA.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the best poster, which will be graded on innovation, scientific merit, and poster presentation style. The most outstanding poster from each category will be announced and awarded the top prize. Prize selection will be made ONLY among posters presented in person during Saturday’s Science in the Morning session.
