Create an Accessible and Inclusive Presentation
At APA 2026, we lead through accessibility by committing to a psychologically safe, inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all attendees. Here are some recommendations to make your presentation and supporting materials inclusive and accessible to everyone in your audience.
Can I present my session remotely?
All Division programs are held in-person. However, Divisions may allow up to 25% of a session's speakers to participate remotely on a case-by-case basis—meaning at least 75% of presenters must be present in Washington, DC. If you're interested in presenting remotely, contact your Division directly to find out if it's an option for your session.
Note: A remote presentation is a pre-recorded video that meets the same duration requirements as a live presentation. Live streaming is not a standard option due to cost and technical limitations—it can only be arranged if the Division or session presenters are able to cover the streaming costs. If we are unable to accommodate a remote presenter, you will have the option to replace that speaker or withdraw your proposal.
