ENROLL NOW

This intermediate workshop aims to educate participants on how to conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments with transgender youth and families seeking access to medical treatment for gender embodiment (e.g., puberty suppression, testosterone/estrogen). The assessment framework is consistent with the field’s updated Standards of Care (WPATH SOC-8) and has been informed by a workgroup of transgender and gender diverse clinicians with lived experience. Through case studies and interactive activities, participants gain experience applying the assessment framework to clinical cases and practice settings. Special attention is given to how to navigate the current sociopolitical climate and widespread legislative bans on access to care.
