ENROLL NOW

In this intermediate workshop participants develop a toolkit to teach effectively, confidently, and inclusively about intersectionality to undergraduate and graduate students in a range of psychology courses. Following an introduction of what intersectionality is and does, participants learn about applications of it in research spanning developmental, clinical, social, community, industrial/organizational, and educational psychology. Engaging independent and collaborative active-learning strategies are demonstrated, including individual and group in-class activities and out-of-class assignments. Drawing on 20+ years of experience, the presenter shares practical advice for tackling challenging and politicized content in the classroom and resources to support those efforts.
