DC is served by three international airports (BWI, DCA, and IAD) and several train routes. Use tools like Google Flights and Amtrak’s Trip Planner to estimate your travel costs. 


Tip: Book travel early to get the best fares.

Street parking near the Convention Center is extremely limited. Learn more about daily parking around the Convention Center here. 


In addition, many of the APA 2026 hotels offer overnight parking for a fee. Check with each hotel to confirm availability and pricing.

Convention hotels range in price from $199-$319 per night for single/double occupancy, plus a 15.95% room tax, subject to change. The official APA 2026 hotels and room blocks will open on April 22. Book through onPeak, the official APA 2026 housing partner, to receive the discounted rate.

The APA convention is an investment in our community. Every dollar from registration goes back into creating an event worth attending—toward the high-quality programming, connections, and professional development opportunities that our attendees expect. 


Our aim is a balanced budget that forecasts minor deficits or modest surpluses, ensuring the sustainability of the convention and the mission-driven work APA does year-round. We appreciate your continued support, which enables us to create an impactful gathering year after year. We thank you for being part of this incredible community. 

Non-psychologist Family Member Badges

Fee-paying registrants may purchase up to two $50 nonrefundable non-psychologist family member badges. Psychologists and presenters are not eligible for this badge option. These badges may only be purchased for nonmember/non-psychologist family members. Family member badge holders are ineligible for earning CE credits. 


The family member badge holder(s) must be accompanied by the fee-paying registrant at all times. Individual entry into APA 2026 sessions or the Solutions Center is not permitted. The badges will be clearly marked as NON-PSYCHOLOGIST FAMILY MEMBER.

Cancellation Policy

We look forward to gathering with you in Washington, DC, August 6–8, 2026. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise that could affect your plans to attend. APA will offer a 50% refund on your All Access, in-person registration and/or preconvention CE Workshop enrollment if cancellation is received by June 24, 2026. A refund will not be provided if your cancellation notice is received after June 24, 2026. However, you can still change your All Access registration to a virtual registration at any time by filling out this form. You will receive a refund for the difference in registration fees. Note: preconvention CE Workshops are exclusively available in-person. 

 

This policy only applies to your APA 2026 in-person registration and preconvention CE Workshop enrollment and does not apply to any other registrations made related to the convention, such as virtual registration fees, hotel accommodations, and transportation. Learn more about our cancellation policy.
