Erin Deneke, PhD

Erin Deneke, PhD, is a licensed therapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience providing compassionate, evidence-informed care to adults. Her areas of specialization include trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, spiritual injury, and substance use and anxiety-related disorders. She believes deeply in the integration of mind, body, and spirit as essential components of healing and personal growth, and holds that meaningful change is possible for anyone who desires it. Dr. Deneke has worked in a variety of treatment environments including inpatient substance use treatment centers, crisis intervention in Baltimore city homes, domestic violence groups, and outpatient private practice. 

 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Deneke brings nearly two decades of experience in substance use research. She spent 19 years at a nonprofit substance use treatment organization, where she founded and developed a research department that grew into a comprehensive research center conducting innovative clinical trials. Her work focused on outcomes-based research designed to improve treatment effectiveness and enhance quality of life for individuals living with substance use disorders.
