Artificial intelligence and digital technologies for assessment and treatment of neurocognitive disorders are becoming ubiquitous and hold both promise and peril for neuropsychologists. This intermediate workshop presents current and emerging uses of artificial intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT, machine learning) and digital technologies (e.g., passive sensors, mobile apps) in clinical neuropsychology, focusing attention on relevant ethical considerations, including approaches to addressing the “digital divide” between those who have ready access to technology and those who do not. Examples from clinical and research contexts are used to illustrate ethical dilemmas and potential solutions.
