ENROLL NOW

This intermediate workshop focuses on research-based strategies to support the unique needs of immigrant students and their families. Participants learn the challenges posed by immigration laws, explore the traumatic stressors immigrant students face, and apply culturally responsive and strength-based practices and supports such as the CLEAR paradigm and the ADDRESSING framework. Vignettes of immigrant children and families are introduced to help illustrate the roles psychologists may assume in each situation. This workshop equips practitioners with strategies to create safe, inclusive, and thriving school environments, ensuring that immigrant children receive equitable educational opportunities and the social-emotional support they need to succeed.
