Addressing issues related to race/ethnicity and culture during therapy can be challenging. Hands-on, experiential learning can enhance cultural competence when working with diverse populations. This intermediate workshop guides participants through experiential exercises designed to increase cultural responsiveness in the therapeutic setting. Participants learn strategies to increase awareness of values and cultural biases that may affect the therapeutic process, as well as how to integrate culture into case formulation and treatment planning. A PDF workbook with experiential exercises on the topic is shared with attendees.
