APA Early Career Convention Grant

APA’s Committee on Early Career Psychologists (CECP), with the funding support of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, is pleased to announce the call for applications for the APA Committee on Early Career Psychologists/National Register of Health Service Psychologists Convention Travel Grant. This grant supports the professional development and attendance of early career psychologists at APA 2024 in Seattle, WA, August 8–10. 


This year, awardees will be reimbursed $380 for their travel expenses to APA's convention.  


Special consideration will be given to early career psychologists who have not previously
attended an APA convention. 


Deadline 

Monday, April 29 


Eligibility Criteria 
  • Current dues-paid member of APA in any membership category 
  • Received a doctorate in psychology within the last 10 years

Applicants will need to address the following three sections below (150 word maximum per section):  

  1. Benefits to attending APA 2024 
  2. What are your goals for attending APA 2024? 
  3. How will attending convention enhance your professional career moving forward? 
  4. Significant leadership positions, academic, and/or professional achievements (informal and/or formal) 
  5. Any additional diversity, multicultural, or adverse life events for CECP to consider (if applicable) 

 

Selected applicants will be notified in June.
